My name is Jo Basting (Bsc, FCA, ATT), I’m a qualified Fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), qualifying in 2003 with Deloitte in London. I am also a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) one of the UK’s leading bodies for tax professionals.
Having started my career with Deloitte, I left practice and joined G4S plc where I held senior accounting roles for over 11 years. I left the corporate world to set up Configure Accounting in 2015.
My vision and approach
This practice was set up because I am passionate about helping individuals and small businesses in an area which is complex.
My aim is to help take the dread away from your accounts and tax to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. Whilst not promising miracles, I hope this trusted support will give you the reassurance that your tax affairs are in safe hands, so that you have the knowledge to take control of all aspects of your business and the time to focus on what you do best.
I pride myself with an approachable and friendly nature and am here to work with you to ensure you achieve the best results.

The practice
We provide accounting and tax services to small, micro businesses (limited companies, sole traders) to help them manage their accounting requirements and minimise their tax liabilities.
We are a friendly, helpful and affordable accountancy practice based in Horley, Surrey. Our client base mainly covers East Surrey and West Sussex serving clients in Horley, Redhill, Reigate, East Grinstead, Crawley, Horsham and Sutton.
However, location is not central to those we work with. If you like the look of us but you are not local to the area that’s not a problem, we can always work remotely and speak by telephone or Skype.
